Purses inspired by food bloggers on Instagram you say? Yes, it's a thing. RommydeBommy is a food inspired handbag collection that is impeccably detailed and sophisticated. Find some of your favorite foods & snacks such as Avocado Toast, Sushi, Pizza, & more in Rommy's collection. These purses are a foodies dream.

I was very impressed when I discovered that the designer of RommydeBommy, Rommy, makes these purses by hand. She is 27 years old and is currently located in the Netherlands.

Hey Nubians,

I love a good mix of tech and fashion. My brother Dean went to CES (Consumers Electronics Show) in Las Vegas last week and he had a lot of fun exploring and playing with different, innovative technology. He sent me tons of photographs and information, but one thing that really caught my eye for its simplicity and convenience is 'Wraps Wristbands Headphones'.

Hello Nubians,

There's something refreshing and dare I say sexy about wearing all white clothing. During Summer time it's always been pretty popular. Not only do you get to maintain your clean appearance, but it keeps you cool under the sun. It's classic and timeless.

I'm looking forward to putting together other all white ensembles.... I'm thinking white skinny jeans with a wife beater would look fabulous or maybe even denim cutoffs.

Wearing: Forever 21 top, H&M shorts, and Wild Diva Lounge sandals from Go Jane.

Lounging by the pool. Now that I've been staying out in Vegas for a while I have to hide from the sun. Everyday is a full on Summer day.

All in the details. Necklace from Kensie.

I added this necklace to the look because it adds a tiny bit of color and flair to the outfit. I always like the way it looks around the buttoned up collar.

What's your ideal Summer white ensemble?

Hello Nubians,

I wanted to share this outfit I wore sometime during NYFW. One of the girls I was working with got the whole social team cake pops which was really sweet! Who doesn't love a good cake pop? plus quite frankly, they're pretty to look at and I probably spend as much time admiring one as I do eating it.

Anyway, back to the outfit... I wanted something chill and relaxing to wear. I pretty much had an ALL SNEAKER policy this season (except for one day when I wore oxfords) I run around way too much and comfort is key. To make up for not wearing any heels I layered a bit, mixed textures and tried to pay attention to detail as much as possible.

Wearing: Vintage black top, New Era "Quick Draw McGraw" snapback, Free People Navy Blue skirt, Jordan sneakers, Misc leggings from Japan.

Hello Nubians,

A few days ago I went to see the infamous Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree with my friends Jasmin and Mary. I wanted to spend time with Jasmin especially this day because she moved to the West Coast and it was also her birthday recently... I have lots of love for both of these girls.

It's funny because as was saw the tree I couldn't help but thinking (and I think everyone else did too) how damn small it looked! Realistically, it probably looked tiny because we were used to seeing it as children and back then, everything seemed grand and magical. In this situation, I almost took it as a metaphor for life. A lot of things lose their glamour as you get older... its quite sad. Myself and a lot of my friends struggle to do things we love and explore different places and opportunities every day to add new found happiness and joy in our everyday lives.... Most people I know don't enjoy routines (Creative types). With that being said kiddies, NEVER SETTLE.

On this day I had an all black look going... it was also sort of a Madonna thing too in a way. I was singing "Like A Virgin" the whole time while I was waiting in line for my Mocha Latte at Starbucks. Coincidentally, my puffy black skirt is really a black one piece from Material Girl.

Wearing: Material Girl dress, Dr. Marten boots, Crooks & Castles sweater, gla.MAR.ous faux leather Rita II, Vintage purse, H&M faux moto jacket.

Happy Holidays everyone!
Felicidades!

Hello Nubians,

Last week I took a trip to New Jersey to get my hair done at my new favorite salon The Pewter Club Barber Spa. I love the 1920's atmosphere in Salon and my stylist Tina is ah-MAZ-ing.

I met up with my friend and gla.MAR.ous designer Mary and she had a beautiful headband waiting for me. To my surprise I learned she called it "Nubia" which left me pretty excited and humbled. I really do love the egyptian vibe of the headband and I'm always down to wear a daring head piece. Things that decorate your hair make life a little more exciting... at least I think so :).

Me dejó bastante emocionada y honrada.

I got the flats above on black friday from Express. I am extremely picky about purchasing flats for some reason but fell in love with these. They were 50% off that day so I only had to pay 20 bucks! what a steal.

Wearing:  Express flats, H&M faux leather jacket, Zara leggings, "Nubia" gla.MAR.ous headband, thrifted polka dot shirt.

Double trouble above.

The view of the Manhattan skyline by the water in Jersey NEVER get old. It makes me feel as if I could stay there day dreaming forever. So much to do yet so little time... I wish my body didn't require so much sleep!

Happy Holidays everyone!

Hello Nubians,

A scarf and sunglasses can add so much glamour to an outfit can't it? I certainly think so! The outfit below would probably look so bland and boring without the fun, colorful, vivid scarf.

Wearing: Top, bottom and accessories from Violet Doll,  Shoes by Jessica Simpson, Sunglasses from American Apparel.

My friend Adriana started up a shop called Violet Doll and I stopped by and styled a few outfits for myself just for fun. I enjoy styling and playing around with accessories often haha yeah, it's why this blog exist. It was lots of fun and this was one of the looks I put together. Simple yet stylish... fairly simple for me... My style is kinda cray cray sometimes.

Rocking these bracelets reminded me how much I love charm bracelets but don't really own any... I'll have to fix that soon =)

What has everyone been up to lately?

Hello Nubians,

Do you guys know I LOVE Freddy Krueger? I used to very much enjoy watching horror films as a young child and Freddy was absolutely my favorite. I think I love Freddy because, and I know this sounds kind of sick but let's remember this is a fictional movie haha HE ALWAYS LOOKED LIKE HE WAS HAVING DO MUCH FUN. It always set him aside from the other popular horror movies characters like Jason or Mike Meyers.

My brother Danny gave me this Freddy Krueger tee for Christmas. The art of the shirt is pretty rad, it's by Alex Pardee.

Outfit details: H&M skirt and biker jacket, Jeffrey Campbell sneakers, Bebe leggings, "Freddy" Alex Pardee.

Do you like horror movies? Who do you favor? Freddy, Jason, Chucky, Michael Meyers? Do tell...

Hello Nubians,

“And now we welcome the new year, full of things that have never been”
-Rainer Maria Rilke

Happy New Year! I've enjoyed the holiday break a bit too much I fear, time to jump back on the saddle and blog my little heart away.

New Years are always encouraging. You almost feel like you get a fresh new start! I'm crazy exciting about the New Year. I have so many goals I want to reach and it gives me this funny feeling in my chest like I'm about to explode! I think for those of you who haven't done this already, You should make a list of goals and prioritize them to what makes the most sense to tackle first... hang it up on your wall so you don't forget about it... Make an inspiration board!

I've been thinking about my style for the New Year. It's definitely going to be altered a bit and I'm looking forward to being inspired by the streets, magazines, nature and life in general. I put together this little collage displaying trends I favor now and thinking a bit toward the future/Spring time.

A few days ago I walked into a store in Times Square and picked up these cute little snap backs. I'm hoping to eventually pair them up with a dope pair of heels, faux fur, skinny jeans, a leather jacket, in order to give the hats a more urban/chic-edgy appeal.

On the left: Tokidoki X Marvel Spiderman snapback. On the right: DC Comics Pop Heroes Wonder Woman snapback.

Cheers to 2013 my sweet loves, too excited!

Hello Nubians,

Though my prom days are far behind me, I thought it was important to talk about a prom dress. Last week I was invited to the Prom Girls "Twitter and Tiaras" event at Dylan's Candy Bar. It was like candy and glitter exploded in a room, a rad time indeed.

When I was in high school I almost didn't go to prom at all. I was the rebel child, I'm sure many of you can relate. I had a very fuck this! I don't care attitude about the whole extravaganza. But I did go. I just didn't really care how I looked so much. I picked up a little black strapless dress with a little lace and called it a day... It was a very Audrey Hepburn moment... black dress, pearls, white gloves, POW I'm done. Though I don't regret my look THAT much (I did say it was Audrey Hepburn inspired, Duh!) Sometimes I wish I would have chose a more extravagant sparkly, glittery, all up in your face dress like the pretty ones below.

I wanted to give all my rebellious high school gems something to think about... because these dresses are AWESOME. As much as I loved my Audrey Hepburn inspired look, if I could turn back the hands of time... I MIGHT go with one of these.

Anyway, lets talk about this kick-ass event. There was a DIY station hosted by the ever so talented Grace Atwood and a bunch of bloggers were making hair combs and headbands. All easy and fun pieces you can rock to an event like prom.

(The hair comb I made below.)

The event had candy cocktails! Strawberry Nerd Mojitos? #OMG #delish

That's all I have to say about this for now folks. Perhaps I shall return with some fun prom ideas for my younger readers. Till now, you can check out some pretty dresses over here.
