It's that time of the year! All any of us could think of is the warmth, fashion, and beauty that will arrive with the Spring season. I can't wait for light jackets, cropped tops, long skirts, and tons of floral designs. Being able to have brunch while sitting outside sounds like a treat. Being able to lay on the grass with your shoes off while enjoying some music or a great novel sounds like a dream too. Spring also inspires creativity. Create some art and make magic happen.

It's been a while since I've posted about a lipstick, lipgloss, or any lip color in general. People often talk about that one beauty item they can't go without. For some, it's brows, for others mascara, but for me, it's always been lipstick.

I've been all about the neons lately! Jazzelle Zanaughtti looked absolutely stunning for Vogue Mexico, July 2018.  She was photographed by the talented An Le in a beauty spread titled 'Luminosidad'. This looks like a Sci-Fi dream and makes my inner geek girl cheer with joy. 

Geek Fashion is so much fun! The Her Universe Fashion Show happened yesterday at San Diego Comic-Con.  Designers got to compete with their original “geek couture” designs to win the opportunity to design a Her Universe fashion collection with Her Universe founder Ashley Eckstein for Hot Topic. 

I can't think of a better day for Double Denim. Today, April 25th is Denim Day. It's a great day to wear jeans with a purpose, support survivors, and educate yourself and others about sexual assault.

Too many women have been sexually assaulted one way or another and it's very, very far from ok. It is NEVER ok.

My Spring, Summer makeup is usually pretty simple. Bold lip, mascara and done! This year, I think I'm going to get groovy with a lot of bold eyeshadow colors. Realistically, I haven't played with eyeshadows in years... probably because I overdid it when I was 16-18 years old. I also love to experiment with brands and how good their quality and pigmentation is.

The Ladies from some of my favorite TV shows such as The Flash, Jessica Jones, Riverdale and possibly Charmed, have been kicking ass lately! It's so much fun to watch how the women's movement is all over the place. Literally, everywhere I look, pure magic. I love my comicbook shows. Marvel comics, DC comics & Archie Comics are working on some real gems. Even Charmed eventually released a comicbook published by Zenescope Entertainment.

Sure, we're still in a New York City Winter... and it may be currently snowing a bit as I type away... but my mind is far away from this season and already living in Spring/Summer. All I want to think about is warm clothing and a colorful, fresh as hell attire.

I love giving myself little D.I.Y. Manicures. Taking care of your nails is key girls! No one wants to look at busted hands. We don't all have enough time to go get mani's done constantly, and honestly, sometimes I rather be in the comfort of my home.

As The Seasons Change, So Do I. 

Guys, I was starting to get so bored with the color of my hair. I let Wella come to the rescue this week and I'll tell you how. I have always had what I call "Hair Bipolar Disorder". I went through a million shades of blonde and all the colors of the rainbow. It's almost like my hair was searching for something that didn't exist. Needless to say, my hair was dry, damaged, and has lost a lot of its shine.

"Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder"

The older I get the less makeup I wear. I think this happens to a lot of women. Perhaps when I'm in my 40's I'll start wearing more foundation and concealer or things to cover up small lines and wrinkles that will form with age. For now, I mainly enjoy a bold lip, bold brows, and a bit of mascara. The fact I don't wear a lot of makeup on the daily doesn't mean I don't enjoy playing with it. I often look forward to nights where I can glam up more than usual and play around with a nice, bright eyeshadow color (which I often do in during the Summer anyway). I was browsing around a few Vogue Japan editorials and loved the color used in the February editorial and the simplicity for March.

I was born in February and my favorite color for most of my life has been purple. It's the color of my birthstone, Amethyst. Amethyst always transmitted feelings of peace, harmony, and balance when I stare at it long enough and appreciate it's beauty.  Purple is also known as the color or royalty, hence this editorial. A must-have for your beauty routine! Skincare can be a lot of hard work. Mainly because there are so many beauty products to choose from. Clogged pores and blackheads are a problem that annoys both males and females, it's hard to know which brands to trust. Who doesn't love art? Art can be considered a variety of different creative outlets. Many people consider fashion and their way of styling an artform. It expresses how they feel and showcases it to those around them. Others consider dance or theatre their art form. Of course, there is always drawing and painting. I LOVE to draw. I wouldn't consider myself one of the greats, but I enjoy it and it helps ease my mind. I am fascinated with murals and street art. The idea of completing a well thought out mural is probably somewhere on my bucket list. I admire artist with such vision and dedication who put their masterpieces together in the middle of the day while random strangers stroll by and just stare at them... I would assume it's not a distraction to a focused well focused and determined mind.
