I can't think of a better day for Double Denim. Today, April 25th is Denim Day. It's a great day to wear jeans with a purpose, support survivors, and educate yourself and others about sexual assault.
Too many women have been sexually assaulted one way or another and it's very, very far from ok. It is NEVER ok.
Hey Nubians, Relax. Refresh. Renew. Hey Nubians, Trick or Treat? I'm sure most of you ladies are getting comfortable with the Fall season. Looking through your clothing and pulling out all of your light jackets and sweaters, figuring out what trends you want to follow, denim? velour? So many options. I just flew back to Las Vegas from New York and it's already getting pretty chilly out there. Vegas is slowly getting nippy too. Also let's talk Halloween! I LOVE Halloween. Probably more than Christmas. One of my favorite things to do besides going out to enjoy the fun decorations is staying home and watching retro Halloween cartoons and films. I like watching the friendly films such as Hocus Pocus but then I also like watching the more brutal films like Halloween/Michael Myers & A Nightmare on Elm Street. I think my style...

I love Jeans! Remember when everyone was all over the double denim trend about a year or 2 ago? I still love it! I think one of my favorite denim brands is probably Levi Strauss & Co, they're such a good pair of timeless jeans.
Below I shall entertain you with some fun and random facts about jeans.
The very first jean was the indigo color because it hid dirt better than lighter colors. It's still the preferred color amongst people.
Orange thread that Levi Strauss & co. uses for stitching of their jeans is trademarked.
Blue jeans were banned in public places in the 50s such as theaters, restaurants and schools. They were seen as a form of rebellion.
Statistically, every American owns, on average, 7 pairs of blue jeans.
One bale of cotton can be used to produce 225 pairs of denim jeans.
About 450 million jeans are sold in U.S.A alone each year.
Iconic movies such as Rebel without a Cause and The Wild One first made jeans popular with teenagers, a demographic that was only starting to emerge as a distinct group in the 1950.
You are next! I have a think for aliens ha ha.
How do you feel about denim? How many times a week would you say you put on a good pair of jeans? I actually have to go shopping for some soon.
Cheers!

Is There Ever A Season Where Denim Isn't Appropriate?
I was shopping around on the web when I dropped by http://www.simons.ca and saw this photo of a pretty lady wearing a denim jacket. All of a sudden it hit me how much I LOVE denim. It's just so comfortable and reliable.
Denim also has this all American feel to it... kind of like the girl next door vibes, it's classic. After the 4th of July passing by and having to read about Ariana Grande making rude remarks about America... I'm feeling a bit patriotic. You can also wear it year round which is a huge perk. There's vest, shorts, jeans, jackets, headwear, and even more risky items I probably wouldn't wear such a purses (though I might have owned one in my childhood). I often turn to red lips, a plain white tee and a nice pair of denim shorts as a chic go-to outfit Summer outfit.
Anyway, below see some lovely ladies in denim for your fashion and wardrobe inspirational needs. Cheers!

Call is Cliche but I love wearing green on St. Patrick's Day... Whether it's hunter green, leaves green, neon green... it just has to be GREEN. It's fun to look cool, stylish and comfortable on St. Patty's Day, especially if you're going to the parade. I've shopped around on the internet and was able to find some cute items I thought you should check out for your St. Patrick's Day beauty and fashion needs. Some cute and out-going items for you to get inspired by/try to channel/get the look. If all else fails remember you can always throw a bunch of green glitter and stickers on your face :) Rita Paid Headwrap from gla.MAR.ous.
Oh Summer days, The season has just begun and it's already been quite a fun season. Sun shine, cold margaritas, sitting by the pool... So good.
Anyway, it's always fun to dress up to and I happen to love high waist clothing. Pants, skirts, shorts, I feel it compliments women's figure by hugging your waist so much more than items that fall on the hip. Below I put together some cute outfits featuring high waist denim shorts, patterned pants and a adorable polka dot pleated skirt.
Hope these inspire you to put some cute looks together! They're colorful, fun and fashion forward.
Here are some #selfies I took earlier this week wearing my high waisted leggings from Zara and some cute studded loafers.
