I started out with straight hair and ended up with this look in just a few minutes. Gorgeous waves and a fishtail braid on each side holding my hair slightly back. I think it's a classic hairstyle almost anyone can put together.

What Are You Going To Be For Halloween?



I know what I'm doing! But it's still a secret, SHHhhHHHhhHh. Spending anywhere from 60-200 dollars on a Halloween costume seems like something from the past and silly for something you wear once a year. I think most people are going way more for the Do It Yourself approach lately and honestly, it's much cooler and fun sometimes.

Beauty and fashion bloggers always give great tips, especially with makeup. YouTube is the place to go look! Some of these ladies are absolutely Ah-MAZ-ing. I've seen some insanely scary and gory looking stuff out there. Below please check out my top 5 favorite Halloween makeup looks I think are fabulous (In no particular order). It's hard to pick because there are so many to choose from!


1) Creepy Broken Doll Tutorial: Halloween 2015 | Dulce Candy. 
OMGoshhh. Scary right from the intro. Something about old porcelain dolls is extremely creepy. Dulce did a great job.




2) Pop Art / Cartoon Zombie by Nicole Guerriero. 
This pop art zombie is a little lighter than some of the looks I've featured here in terms of Gore, but the pop art makes it tons of fun and still pretty scary. It looks like something out of a colorful graphic novel. Nicole did a fantastic job. Make sure to check out her other Halloween videos too!




3) Zombie Princess Peach Halloween Makeup SFX Tutorial | Jordan Hanz / Alex Faction.
My never ending love for Nintendo's Super Mario Bros made me love this Zombie Princess Peach. A job very well done and extremely easy to follow.




4) Trippy Double Vision Makeup Look by dope2111.
This one gave me goosebumps and also made me a bit dizzy at first haha. Very original and cool. Another great job.



5) Harvey Dent // Two Face Special FX Makeup Tutorial ♡ Batman Series by Bonnie Corban SFX.
I LOVE DC comics and Batman. Seeing this Harvey Dent/Two Face tutorial made me sOoOoOo happy. I already have my costume for this year planned out but I might have to try this next year. So cool.

I don't make enough time for my nails sometimes! I just throw on any color and I'm done. I want to try to focus more on specific colors and detailed designs so I thought I'd start off with some fun pop art nails!

A few weeks ago I received POND'S Luminous finish BB+ cream and was quite excited! I've heard good things and was looking for something that would give my skin a bit of coverage and a luminous glow.

Some things that I read about this product which I thought were insightful are that

'Tis the season to be jolly! With the holidays among us it's always nice to walk around with a cute manicure.

The manicure below is something I did spontaneously and free-hand (so don't kill me if it's not 100% clean). I decided to mix up painting the whole nail on some fingers and only doing the tips on others to make it more fun to look at. The glitter outline on the tips was a bit of a festive touch!

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and even though we should be thankful everyday, I love that the holiday brings friends and family together.

Many people wonder... What should I wear on Thanksgiving. I'm going to be really honest here, COMFORT IS KEY. Unless you're going to some sort of business function I would just go with a casual cute look.

Someone like myself likes to always have a statement piece in my outfit so I recommend playing around with accessories such as your bag, jewelry, hats, etc.

Below you'll see two looks I put together. The first one is a bit more dressy while the second one is more casual. Nevertheless, both cute, both comfortable and both on trend.

3 tips for a successful Thanksgiving outfit 
*Rock Flats.
*Wear clothing loose enough or stretchy enough clothing that you can still breathe after a huge dinner.
*Make those accessories count as a statement

I find that in these times, you really have to step outside your own shoes and appreciate that you have shelter and someone who probably loves you and misses you at the end of the day... Remember things will get better and  There is SO MUCH to be grateful for. TRUST.

The Holiday season is practically here and it's important to have a nice cute hair style you can rely on. I LOVE curls. When I heard about the Conair Curl Secret I was overly excited to try it. I saw the videos online and a few reviews and was curious about the new curling technology. When an opportunity came up for me to test it out I was delighted! Let me tell you a bit about my curling journey and show you how to curl hair with the Infiniti Pro Curl Secret.

I went on over to Walmart to purchase my Secret Curl which is priced at $99, this was awesome because it $150 at The Secret Curl Website. Walmart was a no brainer because I got to save $50.00! 


What You'll Need
*Conair Curl Secret
*A comb 
*A hair tie or clip


Step 1
*Untangle and divide your hair into sections. 


Step 2

*Pick A heat setting (high or low) and figure out how tight you would like your curls. The Curl Secret has numbers 8, 10, and 12 (12 being the tightest curls) I chose the number 10.  

Place a 1/2 - 1 inch piece of your hair in the chamber and then clamp it closed. 





Step 4

*Keep repeating the same steps throughout all of your hair and THAT'S IT! It's so easy and convenient. It lets my arm rest as opposed to a traditional curler and it gives me beautiful curls that actually last. 


Different Looks with The Secret Curls

I decided to play around a bit with my curls. All the looks below I was able to do in no more than 2 minutes after using the Infiniti Pro.

Here I did a very simple twisty and clipped it to my hair.



Braid with Curls. 

Here I did a small french braid on the top of my head and really enjoyed the braid/curl combo the Curl Secret allowed me to do.



Rocker Curls

Here's another quick cute look I put together after using the Conair Infiniti Curl Secret were I did u huge puff on the top of my hair and swept a bit of hair behind my ears.


Bang Swipe

Lastly a more traditional look with a side swept bang and some hair clipped in the back.

I was sent a few products from the Aveda Heart Lands Collection a few weeks back and was so excited to try them out. 

It's always satisfying to know you're using quality products. I can always count on Aveda to carry merchandise that's infused with plant and fruit waxes and feel nice on my skin. It's good and important to know what you're putting on your face ladies!!! C'mon y'all.

I kind of created this look by improvising, it was fun and I was happy with the results. A bit heavy on the eyes and neutral lips. The Heart Lands collection has nomadic inspired eyes and rich colors.

Humidity is annoying as HELL, excuse my french but a bitch! I hate walking out of my house, having my hair done and a cute outfit on, feeling totally awesome and then POW! Humidity kicks in and your face usually starts getting oily, you start feeling uncomfortable and all of a sudden you don't feel so nice anymore.

One thing I can't stand is my face looking oily. As a blogger, I take tons of photos and I DO NOT want my face looking shiny (especially the "T" zone). I remember reading somewhere that Starbucks napkins or pretty much any business that has brown grainy napkins, work great as blotting papers! I put this to the test and it is indeed true. It beats going to Sephora and wasting about $10.00 a pack. Stock up on some napkins and enjoy an awesome coffee or tea at the same time!

The paper in Starbucks for example is made out of 100% recyclable content! (Go Green) I think the grainy/slightly rough texture is what helps absorb the oil from your face.
