I'm So Excited To Be Watching Marvel Comics The Avengers: Infinity War Tonight!

I've heard ridiculously amazing things about the movie. Getting to see some of my favorites such as Iron Man, Thor, Spiderman, Captain American, and more go up against Thanos is going to be epic. I grew up on Marvel Comics more than DC Comics, therefore, they hold a special place in my heart.

GIRLS RULE THE WORLD!

The Ladies from some of my favorite TV shows such as The Flash, Jessica Jones, Riverdale and possibly Charmed, have been kicking ass lately! It's so much fun to watch how the women's movement is all over the place. Literally, everywhere I look, pure magic. I love my comicbook shows. Marvel comics, DC comics & Archie Comics are working on some real gems. Even Charmed eventually released a comicbook published by Zenescope Entertainment.

Hey Nubians,

Remember Back In 2013 When Bryan Singer Played This Cruel April Fools Joke On Us?

Well, I think we were all reminded of Lady Gaga as Marvel Comics X-Men's Dazzler after last nights Super Bowl Halftime show.

I mean ...

Hello Nubians,

"So here I am. Back on Earth. Johnny Blaze rides again."

This year at New York Comic Con I brought back my Marvel Comics Ghost Rider Cosplay I debuted last year. It was a lot of fun and still one of my favorite cosplay looks till this day. It's a cool gender-bend and I love using the molded wig/hair as the visual for flames. My sister-in- law and cosplay partner in crime for the last 2 years Kaori molded the wig and applied my makeup while I hunted down all the pieces from the costume. I've been cosplaying for so many years now that I finally got around to making a cosplay box for all of my makeup, costumes, props, & more.

Hey Nubians,

When you think back to Full House doesn't your heart melt a bit?

Such a classic show with a touching story line that stole our hearts. Who can forget the intro song? Along with the visuals, it was like a
mini episode of how sweet the family was. The into song was 'Everywhere You Look' performed by Jesse Fredrick.

YouTube user Zach decided to take the power of the Full House theme song and video and pass it along the Marvel Comics 'The Avengers'. I must admit, it was done quite well. He used movie clips and a few gag reels.

"Avengers: Full House," is arranged where Captain America is cast as Danny Tanner; Black Widow as D.J. Tanner; Bruce Banner as Stephanie Tanner; Iron Man as Uncle Jesse; Thor as Uncle Joey; and Hawkeye as Jesse's girlfriend Rebecca. Of course he had to cast Elizabeth Olsen, who played Scarlet Witch as Mary Kate & Ashley Olsen who played played Michelle Tanner. Well played Zach... well played.

Hey Nubians,

(Cover art for La Boriquena, Marvel Comic's Puerto Rican superhero.)

I originally read about La Borinqueña and her super powers on NBC News Latino and thought I had to share the news with my readers. Brooklyn-based Marvel Comics writer Edgardo Miranda-Rodriguez is the brains behind La Borinqueña. As a latin woman and comic culture lover, you can imagine my excitement! La Borinqueña is a New York-born superhero who discovers her superpowers when she visits the island.

“The very DNA of my existence comes from my Puerto Rican identity,” Edgardo Miranda-Rodriguez told The Washington Post.

La Borinqueña has 3 impressive superpowers the derive from nature. She flies fierce as the winds, possesses super human strength of ocean waves and can teleport wherever a Puerto Rican needs her.I guess you can almost say she's a Puerto Rican guardian angel.

Puerto Rico is going through a difficult financial crisis at the moment and La Borinqueña is a symbol of hope and power for many. They can get through it and come out winning!

I love the cover art for many reasons. First off, her superhero costume is beautiful! A red, white, and blue spandex bodysuit (Puerto Rico flag colors) and I adore the fact that her body isn't being overly exposed like many female comic heroines. She looks sexy and elegant. I also appreciate that she's a woman of color, with a healthy looking body... for example, not overly skinny with a ridiculously small waist. I'm sure all woman can appreciate that because that comicbook industry has been 'Meh" when it comes to female body representation. The cover also contains many respected Puerto Rican individuals such as Hector Lavoe whos music I still occasionally jam to on Pandora and Justice of the Supreme Court Sonia Sotomayor among others. What a great way to rep Puerto Rico!

La Borinqueña is the first superhero to be endorsed by the Puerto Rican Day Parade, which takes place on June 12. The comic book, however, won’t launch until October at an event titled Café Con Comics, organized by Miranda-Rodriguez with CUNY East Harlem campus; and in Puerto Rico on December 17 and 18 at the Aguada Comic Con Fest.

Proceeds from the book sales will raise money for the Puerto Rican Day Parade scholarship fund.

I am very impressed by this project and think Edgardo Miranda-Rodriguez is a bit of a superhero himself!

What do you think of La Borinqueña?
