I love being able to do my own nails and Sally Hansen always helps. Besides having gorgeous nail colors I grew up with, they've recently released glow in the dark neon nail appliques.
Hey Nubians, "I don't know the future, but the past keeps getting clearer every day." -I Fight Dragons It's no secret that I'm a big fan of 'The Goldbergs'. I live for all of the nostalgia and trips back in time the show helps me take. I also happen to be a BIG fan of their wardrobe! Head of Wardrobe & Costume Designer, Keri Smith, does an amazing job! The colors, patterns, texture, & DENIM, DENIM, DENIM! It's awesome. They also have a great hair & makeup crew too.
Hey Nubians, "With Science Fiction There's Endless Possibilities" - Anna Torv I know I'm a little late on this one but I'm completely head over heels in love with the Gucci Fall 2017 Campaign. Anyone who can make fashion fun and have us use our imagination a bit more while getting dressed in the morning has a fan in me. I'm not a big Star Trek fan which is what the editorial is highly inspired by, but I do like films such as Forbidden Planet and Creature from the Black Lagoon that have also influenced this shoot. I've also always been smitten with 1950s & 1960s fashion, glitter makeup and ravishing red lips and futuristic looking hairstyles with a touch of retro Hollywood glam. I also need the glasses in this shoot in my life, they'd make a great staple to my Fall wardrobe.

Hey Nubians, I Love A Classic Film Poster. I was having a chat with my brother the other day and I asked him "Dear brother, why don't they make film posters the way they used to?" A lot of movie posters from the 1960s through the 1980s are pure art! He answered that he wasn't sure but that for some reason a lot of other countries make more artistic posters. After seeing a few examples, I must say I agree. Even seeing the titles in other languages sometimes make them more attractive to me. The phrases that were used back in the 80s were also wittier in my personal opinion and the fonts were cooler too. The women in the posters had this gorgeous, retro look to them and their hair and outfits where usually on point. They either had a tragic beauty to them or looked stunningly confident or strong. Another thing I noticed is the beautiful color stories in the posters which always makes me connect them to art.
From movies like Barbarella, Halloween, Deadly Blessing, and some I've never head of, here are a few that stood out to me.
I'll be randomly featuring posters like these more often because I find them inspiring and visually pleasing. Cheers! Xo Nubia Xo
If you want a dress that makes you feel absolutely sexy and beautiful without having to show so much skin all the time you must head over to Stop Staring Clothing. They have absolutely stunning vintage style dresses & retro clothing. Also, there dresses fit me like a glove and I love the silhouette they give me. You can see other Stop Staring dresses I've wornhere and here.
I decided to go with a 2 piece this time instead of a 1 piece dress. I decided it added a little flirty sensation to the look. I am also completely smitten with the big flower pattern on the dress. They look like tropical flowers. Something about tropical flowers makes me smile.... they make me think of planning a beautiful vacation.
I'm looking forward to pairing the top of this vintage inspired set with another bottom sometime soon. The colors are so vibrant and gorgeous.
