I love being able to do my own nails and Sally Hansen always helps. Besides having gorgeous nail colors I grew up with, they've recently released glow in the dark neon nail appliques.
Hey Nubians, Do you love DIY nails? I know I do! I also enjoy fun, fashionable trends. Take a look at this super cute manicure trend you can successfully do in your own home, the Manicure Ombre Trend! Sally Hansen Global Color Ambassador Madeline Poole takes the latest fashion trends from the runway, to your nails. This month, her recommendation is Ombre. Perfect for the Spring/Summer Season because it's so much fun to play with bright and bold colors. Lately I haven't been doing my nails because I've been painting and creating cool art but I think I'll have to try out the Ombre trend ASAP! Nails Inspired By Hair And Fashion Madeline developed this vibrant nail look for Monse's spring/summer 2017 NYFW show. Her inspiration for the look were the bold colors from this season's catwalks, and the ombre-dyed hairstyles of the stylish women on New York City's sidewalks. Want to get the look yourself? Here's How - Madeline's Ombre mani is simple to achieve at home with no special tools required, just a regular makeup sponge. Featuring Auran't You Relaxed, Teal Good and Robes and Rosé, this take on Ombre is the perfect pop of color for any summer outfit.
Step 1: Apply SallyHansen Color Therapy Nail & Cuticle Oil and massage onto cuticle area. Remove thoroughly from nail plate with alcohol or nail polish remover before painting.
Step 2: Apply 2 coats of SallyHansen Color Therapy in Auran't You Relaxed.
Step 3: Use a makeup sponge cut in half to lightly apply SallyHansen Color Therapy in Robes and Rosé. Concentrate the color towards the middle of the nail and blend upward towards the free edge.
Step 4: To create a smoother blend, pour out a small puddle of SallyHansen Color Therapy in Auran't You Relaxed and apply a mixture of bright pink and darker pink to the center of the nail where the two colors meet. This will allow for a smoother blend.
Step 5: Repeat this step with the teal color - SallyHansen Color Therapy in Teal Good. Continue blending colors until you're satisfied with the transition.
Step 6: After allowing the nails to dry 5 minutes apply SallyHansen Color Therapy Top Coat to further blend and seal colors together.
Hey Nubians, Spring Has Sprung! I'm so happy it's Spring! Spring is such a transformation season and all over healthy for the soul. People are itching to switch up their fashion, hair and makeup. It's a great time to create an inspirational vision board and see what attracts you. As most of you know, I love colors. Spring is a great time to break out some cute pastel colors. I noticed when it comes to beauty, Sally Hansen and Rimmel London have some gorgeous pastel colors you might want to pick up right now especially considering easter is around the corner. Rimmel London: From total babe Kate Moss Nude’s Collection, these beautiful neutral pastels will add just the right amount of spring to your lips! These are the shades #40 and #41. 40 probably wouldn't work great with my complexion but it's still a great color.
The pink below is precious. It's from Rimmel London's new Oh My Gloss Oil Tint Collection. I believe the cover girl for this collection is Rita Ora.
Sally Hansen always nails (no pun intended) Spring time with their beautifully pigmented and innovative nail color collections! They are one of my favorite drug store brands. I remember when I was younger, it was always my mom's and my favorite go-to brand for color and quality. These shades are perfection from their Insta-Dri and Miracle Gel collections.
These are some cool drug store purchases that cost 10 dollars or less each. Looking fab on a budget is a good way to start the new season. Plus that means extra money for traveling :) Who's super happy it's Spring?!?! Xo Nubia Xo
Hey Nubians, By Halloween Nails, I Meant A Sweet Cameo By Michael Myers Himself!
I wanted to give myself a 'Fall is approaching' manicure but didn't want to go straight for orange or hunter green which are usually my go-to colors. I decided to do a cool grey nail. I had the Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Fast Dry Nail Color 'Show Steeler' nail polish which I had never used and it was just what I was looking for. Perfection. I love the color! It's a little something different. It dries very quickly which is a big perk for my clumsy butt and it has a pretty shine to it without needing a clear top coat. My nails feel so pretty. I'm very picky with nail polish but I highly recommend the Sally Hansen Insta-Dri line. I've had good experiences with it. I despise when the color on my nails chips quickly and that doesn't happen with Insta-Dri.
New Years is a fun time for everyone. We like to celebrate amongst friends and loved ones. We make resolutions and dance away the end of a year and the beginning of a fresh new one. New Years brings a lot of feelings to the surface and one of them is excitement!
Women especially like to glam up for the occasion. It's another excuse for us to go a bit over the top in the hair, makeup, and clothing department. I like to pay attention to detail and even like to do something a bit loud with my nails. You can go to a nail salon and get a nice manicure or the quickest fix I can offer you is some glitter nails! I gave myself a quick glitter manicure last night using Sally Hansen All Bright pink as my bottom coat and Sinful Colors Pride glitter nail polish as my top coat.
I think the only thing I might change perhaps is that for New Years I might buy some plain press-ons, paint them myself, and then use my KISS nail glue to apply. I may buy some press-ons too and get a little artsy. Below I'm featuring some New Year nail inspiration I found on Pinterest. All you have to do is simply change the year to 2016 and BOOM!
Which of these is your favorites? Think you'll try any of them out?
Cheers!

Nothing like giving yourself a nice little Manicure to brighten up your mood. Though I find it tedious to do my nails, I also find it imperative that my nails look lovely at all times. I didn't always care... but the older I get, the more the little details matter.
Nails wants are so much fun! Even if it's just to add a small amount of glitter over a color, it gives it a little something extra. I like using LA COLORS wands because if you get lucky, you can find them for a dollar. Let's talk about this Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear '325 Big Teal', isn't it pretty? I love a nice bold nail color, it has great coverage even on the first coat... two coats makes it perfect. To top the whole manicure off, I like using Sally Hansen's Gel Shine 3D Top Coat. Then BOOM! Cute little mani complete. I also think Teal's a favorable color to use this time of year. The Xtreme Wear collection has great colors in it, you should check it out at your local drug store... your nails will thank you later ;-)

A girl has to keep up with her beauty but as of late, I decided to give the long nails a break for a while. By "long" I mean not mine ha ha! More like acrylic or gel extensions. I used to think that I HAD to have long nails... I don't really know why, I guess it made me feel more lady like. Now-a-days I'm content trying to be a bit more creative with my short nails and trying to think of cute manicures that I can do myself.
Don't get my wrong, every-so-often I really miss long nails and I'm sure I'll go back to them eventually... but for now it's short manicures for me.
I gave myself a cute and simple mani this week. I didn't have much time to get too fancy. I used Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear 178 All Bright Pink as the base coat and then I used L.A. Colors Art Deco wands to do the little Zebra-ish lines in white and glitter to make it POP more.
I'm happy with the results. I figure as long as your hands are moisturized and your nails are painted nicely then you're good to go. I gave myself a pedicure with the same design too! I love the pink color from Sally Hansen. It's so bold without being neon.
Do you have any favorite nail polish colors for this summer?

Ladies, having manicured nails is so important! Sometimes I feel as if we can easily overlook something as small as our nails if we're not careful. If you really think about it however... everyone can see your hands at all times! So it's important to keep them pretty and make a good impression. Plus, you don't always have to do it for others, do it for yourself!
Here's another few photo I uploaded on my dripthat account. If you remember in my John Frieda and NYC New York Color Beauty Haul post I talked about how I've been enjoying using the new app and it's fun features. I wanted to share some of my favorite brands and colors of nail polishes I'll be rocking this summer. I often do my nails myself (DIY chick) to avoid going to salons every week.
Wet n Wild Wild Shine - Wet n Wild beauty is one of my favorite drugstore brands. I've become a fan of their Wild Shine nail polish line as of lately. So far my favorite colors are Putting on Airs (Blue), Tickled Pink (Baby Pink), Blazed (Orange)
Ruby Kisses Nail Polish - Another cool brand I sort of discovered by accident is Ruby Kisses. I walked into a local pharmacy one day and discovered all of these crazy bright, bold colors for 99 cents! They also go on very nicely. My favorite nail polishes from Ruby Kisses are Tropical Green (lime green), Orange U Over? (bright orange), Teal Envy (goes on like sky blue).
Sally Hansen - I've been using Sally Hansen nail polishes for as long as I can remember. I constantly like to stock up on a lot of their different lines. For this Summer some of my favorites are Regan (blue from the Velvet collection), Peach (light peach from the Triple Shine collection), All Bright (pink from the Xteme wear collection) Cherry Fast (A magenta looking color from the Insta-Dri collection) Velour (A purple from the Velvet collection). Sally Hansen polishes has proven to be very reliable for me over the years.
L.A. Colors Art Deco Wands - Lastly I always have to have a few Art Deco wands handy. Below you'll see the basic colors white, silver glitter, and black. I like to use these for zebra lines, dots, little flowers, and any other random design I like to think of.
Those are my favorites for now. My theme is bright, bold, and fun! All of these polishes are so much fantastic and I can tell you from first hand experience that the brands are great and absolutely reliable.
I can't wait to share some of the fun nail art I make with these polishes with you, cheers!
Last night after a bit of Spring Cleaning I decided to give myself a manicure and pedicure. My nails were fairly long but of course one of them just had to break so I cut them all... Don't you just hate that!? Anyway, I cut my nails really short and kind of improvised a few lines to make a fun little design. I decided to DIY my manicure instead of going to the salon. I actually do this pretty often to try to improve my skills. It also doesn't hurt to save a few bucks along the way/
For my base color I used Sally Hansen Velvet 640 Velour. It's a nice matte purple color. I proceeded but using LA. Colors Art Deco wands in white and silver glitter to make some lines off the top of my head and make the manicure more fun. I sealed the manicure with Sally Hansen's Gel Shine 3D Top Coat.
Hope you enjoyed the manicure! I'm going to try my best to do some weekly mani fun once a week or every other week.
Espero que hayan disfrutado la manicura! Voy a intentar mi mejor esfuerzo para hacer diversión mani semanal o cada dos semanas.

I don't make enough time for my nails sometimes! I just throw on any color and I'm done. I want to try to focus more on specific colors and detailed designs so I thought I'd start off with some fun pop art nails!
